On 27 April 2026, NXPO participated in the 2026 Thailand PCB Industry Summit held at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel. The event was jointly organized by the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) and the Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) and served as a key platform for public–private dialogue aimed at advancing Thailand’s position as a regional hub for printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing.

The Summit focused on preparing a highly skilled workforce, shaping investment promotion policies aligned with future technologies—particularly artificial intelligence (AI)—and enhancing understanding of business opportunities and regulatory frameworks to support the electronics industry. Key topics included global PCB industry trends in 2026, an overview of Thailand’s PCB sector, structural opportunities and challenges, as well as labor and public policy issues.
The NXPO delegation, led by Ms. Panisa Harnpathananun, Senior Director of the Higher Education Innovation and Future Skills Development Division, engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues, including work permit facilitation and cross-border support, workforce development and industry–academia collaboration, infrastructure and energy development, and strengthening Thailand’s PCB industry ecosystem.

In addition, a Taiwan–Thailand Industry–Academia Exchange Meeting was convened, bringing together faculty members from leading institutions, including Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Navamindradhiraj University, Mahidol University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, Srinakharinwirot University, Prince of Songkla University, Ubon Ratchathani University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Siam Technology College, Thai–Taiwan Technological College, and Amnuay Silpa School.

In her welcome remarks, Ms. Panisa highlighted that Thailand is entering a critical phase in its transition toward advanced electronics industries. This transformation requires the development of a workforce equipped with industry-relevant skills, alongside sustained investment in technology. As a national policy agency, NXPO plays a critical role in connecting education, research, and industry to cultivate high-quality talent with practical competencies and international standards. Collaboration between universities and the private sector—both domestically and internationally—will be instrumental in enhancing Thailand’s global competitiveness.

NXPO remains committed to advancing workforce development, promoting the utilization of research, and driving innovation-led economic growth to strengthen Thailand’s targeted industries and ensure sustainable long-term development.
