The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), the Technology Mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), organized the CTCN Asia and the Pacific National Designated Entity (NDE) Forum 2023: System Transformation through Climate Technology Transfer on 13-16 November 2023 during the Asia-Pacific Climate Week 2023 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  

At the forum, NXPO Vice President Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat was invited to deliver a presentation at the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) Event in Asia Pacific Climate Week 2023 on 16 November 2023. His talk provided insights and experiences on national innovation system in Thailand. The event also highlighted key findings from the report titled “Summary for Policymakers: Good practices and lessons learned on the setup and implementation of National Systems of Innovation” and featured extensive discussions on best practices and regional initiatives aimed at strengthening national innovation systems to drive climate technology. 

The TEC Event also featured a discussion session titled “Exploring the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Climate Action in Asia and Pacific.” The session showcased AI-driven climate solutions, providing insights for the development of Technology Mechanism Initiative on AI for Climate Action.
