NXPO and the Royal Thai Police launch a project to design safe city policy

NXPO, the Royal Thai Police and Thailand Future Foundation recently announced the collaboration to develop safe city policy. The project is among the first to utilize Thailand Innovation Policy Accelerator (TIPA) platform, a new mechanism introduced by NXPO to collaborate with other agencies to design sound and actionable policy and strategy to achieve desirable results.

In this project, design thinking and system thinking concepts as well as stakeholder participation approach will be employed. A series of workshops with concerned stakeholders will be organized to gain an insight on safe city and desired outcomes of each stakeholder. Intelligence will then be systematically analyzed, and proper policy suitable to all involved parties will be designed.

Generally, the Safe Cities Index looks at city’s performance in four pillars: digital, health, infrastructure and personal security. In addition to the said Safe Cities Index, this study will explore other indices fitting the context of Thailand.
