MHESI-NXPO contributes to drafting the 2028-2032 National Security Policy and Plan

วันที่เผยแพร่ 18 March 2026

NXPO participated in a workshop on the drafting of the 2028–2032 National Security Policy and Plan, held on 10–11 March 2026 at the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam Hotel, Bangkok.

During the workshop, the NXPO team—led by Dr. Suchat Udomsopagit, Assistant to the President, and Dr. Kommate Jitvanichphaibool, Senior Director of the Strategic Foresight and Futures Studies Division—delivered a presentation titled “Policy Innovation Tools for Developing the New National Security Policy.” The session highlighted practical approaches and shared experiences in strategic policy design.

Participants also contributed ideas, recommendations, and key insights to support the drafting process. The workshop applied a range of policy design tools, including Horizon Scanning, Problem Identification, Problem Analysis, and Policy Review/Examination, to inform the development of the national security policy. This systematic approach lays a strong foundation for a policy framework that is effective, precise, and responsive to an evolving security landscape.

This engagement marks another important step in advancing the use of foresight tools in public policymaking. It also contributes to strengthening Thailand’s foresight ecosystem, enhancing the country’s capacity to anticipate and respond to future challenges.
