NXPO team, led by Ms. Sirinya Lim, Director of Innovation Economics Division and Ms. Monsiri Tharammathat, Director of Organization Management and Good Governance Division, paid a visit to KUBOTA Farm on 14 September 2020 to observe the use of advanced technologies and innovations in farm management and apply the knowledge to NXPO’s work in designing policy and strategy for national issues such as poverty alleviation and upgrading farming sector. The team was greeted by Mr. Somsak Mauthorn, Senior Executive Vice President of Siam Kubota Corporation Company Limited.  

Founded by Siam Kubota as part of its commitment to promote precision agriculture in Thailand, KUBOTA Farm is a model farm – occupying 35-ha land in Chonburi province – that employs agricultural innovations to enhance efficiency and productivity. An application called KUBOTA Agri Solutions (KAS) was developed to enable integrated farm management on this site.  KUBOTA Farm is sectioned into 9 zones: 1) consultation, 2) rice and post-rice crops, 3) new theory, 4) field crop, 5) oil palm, para rubber and fruit, 6) integrated farming, 7) infrastructure, 8) training area and 9) innovation showcase.
