On 6 March 2026, Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the opening ceremony of One Stop Open House 2026. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, MHESI Permanent Secretary and Prof. Dr. Surin Khomfoi, NXPO Vice President, along with senior executives from the Ministry and related agencies.
Held under the theme “Open Mind Open Future,” the event aimed to provide a central platform connecting learning, skills development, and career opportunities for Thai youth and the general public, supporting the development of a workforce equipped with 21st-century skills for future industries.
The exhibition was organized into three main zones:
• Open Mind – Showcasing policy perspectives and directions for the future workforce, along with activities designed to help participants assess individual potential and skills.
• Open House – Presenting education pathways, including academic programs, scholarships, and upskilling and reskilling opportunities offered by universities nationwide.
• Open Opportunities – Highlighting innovation and future industries, linking education with labor market demands. Activities include a simulated TCAS examination, panel discussions on AI, creative skills, the gaming industry, and the cultural economy, as well as job applications and on-site interviews.
At the event, NXPO showcased the STEMPlus Platform, a mechanism design to align the development of a highly skilled workforce with industry needs through two key zones:
1) Advisory Service Zone – Providing guidance on the use of the platform to support workforce development in three areas:
• Developing and upgrading workforce skills and competencies to meet industry demands
• Connecting job positions with skilled talent
• Providing information on government incentives and support measures
2) Training Registration Zone – Allowing participants to register their interest in training programs under the High-Skilled Workforce Development Initiative for Next-Generation Industries, implemented under the Competitiveness Enhancement for Targeted Industries Act B.E. 2560 (2017).

These efforts align with MHESI’s vision to strengthen education and skills development while leveraging science, research, and innovation as key drivers of national development. The initiative also promotes upskilling and reskilling to cultivate a workforce equipped with the knowledge and competencies required in the digital era—particularly in digital technology, artificial intelligence, the green economy, and future industries—thereby enhancing productivity and strengthening Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.
One Stop Open House 2026 took place from 6–8 March 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, covering an exhibition area of more than 25,000 sq.m. The event offers youth, students, and the general public an opportunity to explore education and career pathways.
