“Technology and Innovation with equity – Perspectives from Asia and the Pacific” webinar was held on 24 February 2022. The event was organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to present two reports – Technology and Innovation Report 2021 by UNCTAD and Frontiers of Inclusive Innovation Report by ESCAP – and perspectives of experts and policy makers in the Asia-Pacific region on artificial intelligence (AI) and frontier technologies. 

Joining the panel discussion alongside representatives from Singapore, India and Microsoft was NXPO Vice President Dr. Kanchana Wanichkorn. She provided information on AI development in Thailand. NXPO has participated in the formulation of AI Master Plan for the National Development 2021-2027, aiming to improve the quality of life and industry competitiveness with AI. The AI for All project has been initiated to raise public awareness of the importance of AI and to promote the human capacity building in the area of AI development and application.
