On 20 March 2026, Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, MHESI Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), chaired a meeting of the NXPO Executive Board. Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO, served as a committee member and secretary to the Board.

The Board reviewed and approved the 2025 Annual Reports of the three program management units operating under the NXPO’s framework: the Program Management Unit on Area-Based Development (PMU-A), the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), and the Program Management Unit for National Competitiveness Enhancement (PMU-C).

The reports highlight system-level performance across key areas, including local economic development, human capital development, and the strengthening of national competitiveness. These efforts play a vital role in laying the foundation for Thailand’s long-term transition toward a sustainable, technology- and innovation-driven economy.
