วันที่เผยแพร่ 6 February 2026

On 5 February 2026, Assoc. Prof. Wongkot Wongsapai, Vice President of NXPO, participated the Asia Environmental & Waste Management Expo 2026 (Asia EnwastExpo 2026) as a guest speaker in the panel discussion titled “Green Skills for Future Jobs.” The session brought together representatives from government agencies, higher education institutions, the private sector, and organizations engaged in environmental management and workforce development.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Wongkot emphasized that the transition toward a green economy and the pursuit of net-zero emissions have made sustainability skills indispensable across all sectors of the labor market. He highlighted the need for workforce development efforts to move forward in parallel with the upskilling and reskilling of the existing workforce.

He further noted that NXPO plays a central role in integrating policies on higher education, science, research and innovation with national workforce development and sustainability agendas. This role is carried out through policy framework development, knowledge support, and the facilitation of collaboration among government agencies, higher education institutions, and the private sector, with the shared objective of cultivating a highly skilled workforce aligned with future economic and industrial directions.

The panel discussion underscored the importance of preparing human capital alongside advances in technology and innovation, with a focus on building a skills development ecosystem that supports Thailand’s long-term sustainable development goals.
