On 8 January 2026, Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO, participated in a press conference the National Children’s Day 2026 event, titled “MHESI For Kids.” The press conference was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and presided over by Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of MHESI.

The “MHESI For Kids” event will take place on 10 January 2026, with activities held simultaneously at multiple venues nationwide. These include the MHESI Headquarters in Bangkok; Princess Sirindhorn AstroPark in Chiang Mai; the Chalermprakiat Observatories in Chachoengsao, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Songkhla; the Synchrotron Light Research Institute in Nakhon Ratchasima; as well as more than 40 higher education institutions across the country.

At the MHESI Headquarters, over 20 agencies will host a wide range of interactive activities. Key highlights include intelligent robots, aircraft and satellite simulation games, Alien Space Racing, the Eco-Bot Mission, Hologram Box AI, and Generative AI experiences.

NXPO will organize the “Artist Playground,” where children can decorate canvas tote bags. This activity aims to promote environmental awareness by encouraging the use of reusable cloth bags in place of single-use plastic bags.
