MHESI-NXPO attends ADB International Education and Skills Forum, advocating workforce development for future industries

วันที่เผยแพร่ 8 December 2025

NXPO participated in the Opening Event of the ASEAN Qualifications Referencing Framework (AQRF) Committee Meeting and the 11th ADB International Education and Skills Forum (ADB IESF): Applying a Fresh Lens to Unlock the Power of Human Capital, held back-to-back from 2–5 December 2025 at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, the Philippines. The events served as key platforms for sharing insights and approaches to strengthening regional human capital in response to rapid global change.

At the ADB IESF, Ms. Panisa Harnpathananun, Senior Division Director of Higher Education Innovation and Future Skills Development at NXPO, presented Thailand’s strategy for advancing human resource development through strengthened collaboration between the education and industrial sectors, supported by systematic government mechanisms. She joined panelists from Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam in the session “The Triple Helix model of innovation, involving universities and education institutions, industry, and government in Southeast Asia,” where participants shared their experiences applying the triple helix model within their respective national contexts.

Dr. Suthida Piriyakarnsakul, Policy Specialist at NXPO, joined the panel discussion on “Human Capital Development for Emerging and Critical Technologies in View of Climate Change, AI, and Geopolitical Trends.” She highlighted Thailand’s ongoing efforts to accelerate the development of strategic industries—including semiconductors and advanced electronics, electric vehicles (EV), artificial intelligence (AI), and clean energy—alongside the promotion of essential 21st-century skills such as AI literacy and climate literacy to prepare citizens for global citizenship.

These discussions created opportunities for Asia-Pacific countries to exchange perspectives and shape a shared direction for skills development and regional human capital policies. NXPO’s participation underscores Thailand’s active role in driving this cooperation, aimed at strengthening Southeast Asia’s capacity to navigate future economic and technological transformations.
