MHESI-NXPO and CIC host product review activity with Chinese testers

วันที่เผยแพร่ 21 October 2025

NXPO, in collaboration with Assist. Prof. Dr. Danaitun Pongpatcharatrontep, Associate Dean of the College of Arts, Media, and Technology (CAMT) and Director of the China Intelligence Center (CIC) at Chiang Mai University, organized a product review activity with Chinese testers during 15–17 October 2025 at Chiang Mai University. Leading the NXPO team at the event was Ms. Pattarawan Charumilin, Senior Policy Specialist, who joined alongside entrepreneurs and staff from the Northern, Northeastern, and Southern Science Parks.

Ms. Pattarawan highlighted that this activity plays a crucial role in market research mechanisms aimed at shaping marketing strategies and gaining in-depth consumer insights—particularly for the Chinese market, which is vast and highly diverse in both taste and consumption behavior. The information gathered through this activity will support Thai entrepreneurs in developing products that better meet the preferences of Chinese consumers.

Regional science parks serve as key innovation hubs in driving the development of special economic corridors. Expanding research-based products and services into international markets requires the establishment of mechanisms that facilitate market growth. These include market research and consumer analysis, marketing and promotional activities, understanding import regulations, leveraging sales talent to enhance marketing strategies, and building partnerships with Chinese counterparts.

The event featured over 160 high-potential innovative products from nine university-affiliated science parks, namely Chiang Mai University, Maejo University, Mae Fah Luang University, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, Khon Kaen University, Suranaree University of Technology, Ubon Ratchathani University, Prince of Songkla University, and Walailak University. Chinese testers representing three different age groups participated in the trials and provided feedback. The insights obtained will help Thai entrepreneurs better understand Chinese consumer needs, thereby supporting product improvement and future market expansion.

This activity marks an important step in strengthening collaboration among NXPO, CIC, the Regional Science Park Network, innovative entrepreneurs, and partner organizations—working together to advance Thai innovative products into the global market.
