MHESI-NXPO presents ECIP and Workforce Development to Promote Thai Products in the Chinese Market

วันที่เผยแพร่ 16 October 2025

NXPO participated in the  opening ceremony of “Academic and Cross-Border E-Commerce Integration Week” held under the theme “Chinese Language + AI + TikTok” on 14 October 2025 in Chiang Mai. The event, organized by the Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University in collaboration with the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) and the College of Arts, Media and Technology (CAMT), Chiang Mai University, aimed to enhance cross-border e-commerce capabilities in the digital era and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Thailand–China diplomatic relations. The program brought together vocational students and staff from across the country to build knowledge and skills relevant to digital commerce.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University; Ms. Chuenjit Oktun, representing OVEC; Ms. Lian Chen, Co-Director of the Confucius Institute; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Danaitun Pongpatcharatrontep, Co-Director of the Confucius Institute. Representing the NXPO President, Ms. Manunya Chunhavuthiyanon, Director of Innovation Policy for Entrepreneurship Development, delivered opening remarks and also served as guest speaker on the topic “ECIP and Workforce Development to Promote Thai Products in the Chinese Market through CBEC.”

In her remarks, Ms. Manunya highlighted the importance of integrating Chinese language, AI technology, and the TikTok platform as tools to empower Thai youth to use technology creatively — for learning, communication, marketing, and content creation — in ways that add value to local products and Thai culture. She emphasized that developing technological literacy and creative thinking among young people is fundamental to fostering innovation-driven entreprises (IDEs).

During her lecture, Ms. Manunya discussed the global transition toward digital, green, and innovation-based economies, which has a profound impact on Thailand’s trade structure and workforce development. She stressed the importance of equipping the workforce with digital, data, and market intelligence skills, especially an understanding of technology-driven consumer behavior in markets such as China. She also introduced the E-Commercial and Innovation Platform (ECIP), established by NXPO as a national platform to connect research-based product development with real market opportunities. The ECIP integrates multiple processes — from research and development (R&D), standardization, and market expansion to access to finance — to support Thai innovative products and entrepreneurs in competing internationally, particularly in the Chinese market through Cross-Border E-Commerce (CBEC) channels.

Ms. Manunya further presented NXPO’s approach to sales talent development, focusing on cultivating a new generation of digital marketers with strong analytical skills, an understanding of Chinese consumer behavior, and proficiency in online tools such as TikTok, Douyin, and other social commerce platforms. These future marketers will serve as key enablers in connecting Thai innovative products with Chinese consumers. She concluded by reaffirming NXPO’s commitment to advancing Thailand’s competitiveness through the ECIP mechanism and the development of innovation-driven entrepreneurs, positioning the country toward a sustainable, innovation-based economy.
