Assoc. Prof. Wongkot Wongsapai, Vice President of NXPO, participated in the 23rd APEC Workshop on Energy Statistics, held on 17–19 September 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. Organized by the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC), the workshop focused on Capacity Building in Conducting Household Energy Consumption Survey (Phase 1).
During the event, Assoc. Prof. Wongkot delivered a presentation on “Experience in Household Energy Consumption Survey in Thailand,” sharing insights alongside representatives from the International Energy Agency (IEA), the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA-DOE), and delegates from nine other member economies. The discussions addressed survey methodologies, data collection tools, and practical challenges, offering valuable perspectives to strengthen the region’s capacity in household energy surveys. The session also highlighted opportunities for future collaboration with APERC and member economies.

The 23rd APEC Workshop on Energy Statistics served as a platform to enhance capacity building among APEC member economies in energy data collection and statistical development, while fostering cooperation to support effective and sustainable energy policy planning.
