NXPO policy innovations featured on UNESCO’s Open and Inclusive Science Hub

วันที่เผยแพร่ 5 September 2025

Two of NXPO’s projects—the Policy Innovation Platform for the Better Future (PIP) and the Thailand Higher Education and Innovation Policy Accelerator (THIPA)—were selected for inclusion in UNESCO’s Open and Inclusive Science Hub. Both initiatives were recognized as inspiring and impactful open science practices that foster participatory and collaborative mechanisms, leading to more inclusive and responsive policymaking.

This recognition follows NXPO’s submission of report on the implementation of the 2021 Recommendation on Open Science, adopted by 194 Member States, including Thailand, at the 41st Session of the UNESCO General Conference. The Recommendation promotes an inclusive concept of science by enabling all sectors to share scientific knowledge for the benefit of both science and society, while addressing inequalities in access to data and technology between developed and developing countries.

In June 2025, Thailand joined 76 other Member States in submitting its report for UNESCO’s first global consultation on open science monitoring. The report highlighted PIP and THIPA as key policy innovations advancing the integration of participatory and collaborative approached into national policymaking.
