วันที่เผยแพร่ 14 May 2025

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) hosted the MHESI Job Fair 2025 from 9–11 May 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, with the aim of creating employment opportunities for new graduates and strengthening the skills of Thailand’s workforce to meet the demands of the global labor market. The event also fostered collaboration between government, academia, and industry to enhance national competitiveness. NXPO participated by showcasing STEMPlus, an online platform designed to drive high-skilled workforce development through academia-industry partnerships.

NXPO Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Surin Khomfoi and Assoc. Prof. Wongkot Wongsapai led the NXPO team in presenting STEMPlus, serving as a mechanism for matching labor market demands with the education system. It currently compiles over 800 job vacancies and internship opportunities.

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion, “Unlocking the Potential of the Thai Workforce: New Opportunities in Hi-Tech Industries,” held on 10 May 2025. In this session, Mr. Phutana Daoruang, General Manager of the Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA), shared insights on labor market trends in the fast-growing semiconductor and printed circuit board (PCB) sectors, highlighting Thailand’s potential to emerge as a regional manufacturing hub in ASEAN. Dr. Surin underscored the importance of integrated academia-industry collaboration for workforce development and introduced STEMPlus as a vital tool for connecting stakeholders and consolidating workforce data. Key features of the platform include:

  • A system for industries to post workforce needs
  • A database of certified upskilling and reskilling courses under the Thailand Plus Package
  • A certification system for high-skilled STEM workforce employment
  • An online job application and program registration system
  • A database of Future Skill Sets and workforce development programs aligned with targeted industries

Job vacancies, skill development programs, and STEM-related employment and training benefits are also accessible through the STEMPlus platform at www.stemplus.or.th.

This event marked a significant step in advancing Thailand’s workforce development strategy, leveraging data and technology to lay the foundation for sustainable, high-quality employment opportunities.
