NXPO, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosted the Skills Mapping Industry x Academia Session on 28 April 2025 at NXPO Headquarters in Bangkok. The event aimed to bridge the gap between industry skill demands and the curricula of Thai higher education institutions, equipping graduates to succeed in the fast-evolving digital landscape.
In his remarks, Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Assistant to the President at NXPO, highlighted how rapid advancements in cloud systems and generative artificial intelligence are reshaping the world of work. He noted that this partnership represents a vital step in modernizing Thailand’s education system to stay ahead of global changes and open new opportunities for the nation’s youth.
The event welcomed over 50 participants, including senior executives from the private sector, university faculty, academic leaders, and human resource professionals from various organizations. The session focused on mapping essential skills for three priority roles: software development, cloud support, and data analysis.
Participants jointly identified and ranked the most in-demand skills sought by industry, while the academic sector reviewed existing curricula to assess alignment with labor market needs. The findings will inform the development of education programs that cultivate a future-ready, highly skilled workforce.
