On 26 April 2025, Ms. Manunya Chunhavuthiyanon, Director of the Innovation Ecosystem for Enhancing Capability of Enterprises Division at NXPO, and Mr. Anont Tanaset, Policy Specialist at NXPO, served as guest speakers in a special lecture on holding company management strategies. The session was part of a seminar hosted by Mahasarakham University to review its development plan, attended by over 90 university executives and staff, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayuk Sriwilai, President of Mahasarakham University.

The lecture was one of the highlights of the seminar, held from 25–27 April 2025. Alongside reviewing the university’s development plan, the event aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the University Holding Company (UHC) model and provide a platform for idea exchange to shape strategies and policies that support institutional excellence and long-term sustainability. In addition to the NXPO lecture, the program featured a case study on Chulalongkorn University’s holding company and a group exercise to develop pathways and action plans for establishing Mahasarakham University’s own UHC.
The UHC initiative is a strategic policy supported by NXPO to promote public-private investment partnerships and drive the commercialization of research and innovation outcomes. To date, 12 universities in Thailand have established holding companies, collectively managing over 100 subsidiary companies with a combined investment value exceeding 500 million THB.
