NXPO joins forces with DITP to integrate market intelligence and support global expansion of Thai enterprises

วันที่เผยแพร่ 7 July 2026

On 6 July 2026, NXPO,  in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (OPS MHESI), the Science and Technology Park of Chiang Mai University (STeP), and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), convened a meeting to discuss the integration of international market intelligence for the development of the ECIP Market Data Platform. The platform is being developed as a strategic tool to help Thai innovation-driven enterprises (IDEs) analyze overseas markets and expand internationally. The meeting was led by Ms. Manunya Chunhavuthiyanon, Senior Division Director at NXPO; Dr. Sombat Somsak, representative of OPS MHESI; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pitiwat Wattanachai, Director of STeP; and Ms. Patcha Wutipan, Director of the Office of Information Technology and Service Development at DITP.

In addition to discussing data integration, participants explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration among NXPO, OPS MHESI, science parks, and DITP to support the international expansion of Thai IDEs during fiscal year 2027. Priority areas of cooperation include aligning work plans and entrepreneur support activities, encouraging enterprises to participate in overseas trade missions, international trade fairs, business matching events, and global conferences. The partners also discussed developing capacity-building programs tailored to specific product categories and target export markets. Another key initiative is the development of a Train the Trainer program to enhance the capabilities of incubation and science park professionals, enabling them to provide export advisory services to IDEs from the early stages of business development. This initiative is particularly important for enterprises that already possess strong technological capabilities, competitive products, or proven business models in the domestic market but still require greater knowledge, market readiness, and international networks to successfully enter overseas markets.

Representatives from DITP reaffirmed their readiness to support the initiative by providing international market intelligence, expertise in global trade, enterprise support tools, and overseas trade promotion activities. These resources can be integrated into the ECIP Market Data Platform and related enterprise support programs, enabling businesses to better assess market opportunities, prepare strategically before participating in international activities, and pursue business negotiations more effectively.

The meeting marks an important step toward integrating Thailand’s innovation support ecosystem with its international trade promotion system under the ECIP framework. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the global competitiveness of Thai innovation-driven enterprises and deliver tangible outcomes in international market expansion.
