Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the launch of “PMUC Zero Burn to Earn,” organized by the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC) under the Research and Innovation Acceleration Agency for Competitiveness and Area Development (RCAD). He was welcomed by NXPO executives and staff, led by Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO and Acting President of RCAD.

In his opening remarks, Minister Yodchanan outlined his vision and policy directions for leveraging innovation and ecosystem development to address the PM2.5 crisis and energy challenges.
Dr. Surachai delivered congratulatory remarks, highlighting NXPO’s role as a policy agency that identifies national priorities and translates them into actionable outcomes. He noted that the initiative reflects one of NXPO’s long-standing priority areas—alongside environmental sustainability, climate change, and the circular economy—which the organization has been advancing for over a decade.

“Air pollution, energy, and the circular economy are clear examples of policies translated into strategic plans, funding mechanisms, and tangible implementation. Beyond these, MHESI continues to advance other priority areas, with the aim of turning ideas into action and delivering positive outcomes for the economy, society, and the environment,” Dr. Surachai stated.

Following the event, Minister Yodchanan chaired the RCAD Executive Board meeting—his first in this capacity since assuming office as Minister of MHESI. Dr. Surachai, in his role as Board Member and Acting President of RCAD, also participated in the meeting.
