On 9 July 2025, NXPO took part in DEDE Green Connect 2025, organized by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) in collaboration with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). The event aimed to promote knowledge-sharing on climate action within the energy sector, covering topics such as carbon credit systems, innovations in energy conservation and renewable energy, and access to climate technologies and green finance.
The NXPO delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Wongkot Wongsapai, Vice President; Dr. Nuwong Chollacoop, Assistant to the President; and Ms. Panisa Harnpathananun, Director of the Higher Education Innovation and Future Skills Development Division, participated in the seminar and showcased NXPO’s key initiatives supporting the country’s decarbonization efforts.

Assoc. Prof. Wongkot delivered a presentation titled “Directions for Research and Innovation on Decarbonization in the Energy Sector,” emphasizing the role of Thai research and innovation in advancing national carbon neutrality goals. Ms. Panisa presented the STEMPlus Platform and Thailand Plus Package, two key initiatives aimed at strengthening high-skilled workforce development through tax incentives and academia-industry co-creation programs.

NXPO continues to play a central role in shaping policies for higher education, science, research, and innovation, workforce development, and fostering multi-sector collaborations — driving Thailand’s clean energy transition while supporting the growth of an inclusive green economy.
