{"id":6176,"date":"2020-11-05T22:59:25","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T15:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/?p=6176"},"modified":"2020-11-05T22:59:29","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T15:59:29","slug":"nxpo-joins-a-public-private-partnership-pact-to-promote-circular-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/en\/6176\/","title":{"rendered":"NXPO joins a public-private partnership pact to promote circular economy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.nxpo.or.th\/th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0046-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On 26 October 2020, NXPO Vice President Dr. Kanchana\u00a0Wanichkorn\u00a0participated in the virtual signing ceremony of a pact\u00a0aiming\u00a0to promote the concept and practices of circular economy in order to help mitigate climate change and enable sustainable growth.\u00a0Joined by over 30 organizations representing public and private enterprises, the pact\u00a0will take actions on\u00a0waste\u00a0recycling\u00a0and formulation of\u00a0\u201cCircular\u00a0Economy\u00a0Guiding\u00a0Principles\u201d.\u00a0The parties plan to collect\u00a0and recycle\/upcycle\u00a0at least 500 tons of garbage \u2013 recyclable materials and organic wastes &#8211;\u00a0from\u00a0Pathum Wan and\u00a0Ratchaprasong\u00a0areas in Bangkok, as well as analyze data to formulate policy recommendations and circular\u00a0economy\u00a0guiding\u00a0principles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group will also raise public awareness on the circular thinking to promote responsible production and consumption among residents through&nbsp;campaigns organized for&nbsp;homes,&nbsp;schools and temples.&nbsp;Public education on waste separation will be extensively made and systems &#8211; including an establishment of drop-off points and recycle collection centers &#8211; will be set up to facilitate the recycle\/upcycle activities. Information on the amount and types of wastes will be compiled and analyzed to support the formulation of policy recommendations and guidelines, as well as the co-creation of appropriate technology and innovation.
