On 8 October 2026, Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), led the MHESI delegation in welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi, Honorary Advisor to the \u201cBUFF TO BUILD NUMBER ONE\u201d Project Implementation Committee, during her visit to the headquarters of T1 Entertainment & Sports in Seoul, Korea, to observe its esports initiatives. Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO, and Asst. Prof. Suppakorn Poonyarith, Vice President of NXPO, also joined the delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n

The royal visit aimed to foster discussions and build collaborative networks to promote esports as an educational tool, develop elective courses, and establish learning platforms suited to both basic and higher education. Discussions also covered equitable and safe access to esports for children, youth with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups, as well as measures to prevent and address cyberbullying and hate speech on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NXPO also engaged in discussions with T1 Entertainment & Sports and the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) to strengthen collaboration on esports for education and youth development. The exchange focused on identifying best practices that could be adapted to Thailand\u2019s esports ecosystem, particularly in education and social protection. It also provided an opportunity to share knowledge and experience in digital technology, innovation, and workforce development, as well as international approaches to nurturing the potential of children and youth through esports and digital content. These insights could inform future national policies and workforce development strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n
