<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nProf. Dr. Surin said that preparing students for higher education should not focus solely on academic performance or current interests, but should also take into account economic trends and future skills needs. NXPO\u2019s Thailand Talent Landscape 2025\u20132029 Report identifies the demand for highly skilled personnel across 10 target industries, including key occupations and competencies required by industry, and provides data to support national workforce planning and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The study\u2019s findings have been further integrated into the TCAS to help students and parents better understand how their choice of faculty or field of study relates to future career trends and the skills required by the country. At the same time, universities and policymakers can use the data to inform curriculum development, educational management, and workforce planning, enabling them to better respond to changes in the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n Prof. Dr. Surin also emphasized that the application of AI in education must be guided by the principles of Responsible AI and Trustworthy AI in Education. This includes appropriate data use, protection of students\u2019 rights, and building trust among applicants, parents, and educational institutions. AI should serve as a tool to support analysis and decision-making, rather than create limitations or determine a student\u2019s future based on only part of their data.<\/p>\n\n\n The use of data and AI in the TCAS system therefore extends beyond improving the admissions process. It can serve as a starting point for developing an integrated workforce information system that connects educational choices with skills development and eventual entry into the labor market. It can also help the government identify trends in students\u2019 interests and educational choices, providing more targeted insights for designing education and workforce policies.<\/p>\n\n\n This approach is also linked to the Thailand Skill Bridge initiative, currently being driven by NXPO to support reskilling and upskilling for the workforce in target industries.
