NXPO participated in the Student-to-Industry Pathway Program (Pilot Workshop), organized by the Global Electronics Association (GEA) in collaboration with Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) and Mahanakorn University of Technology on 28 April 2026 at Mahanakorn University of Technology in Bangkok. Ms. Panisa Harnpathananun, Senior Director of the Higher Education Innovation and Future Skills Development Division at NXPO, delivered a special address on \u201cThailand\u2019s Direction for Advanced Electronics Workforce Development.\u201d She highlighted policy approaches to strengthen collaboration among government, academia, and industry to develop a workforce aligned with industry needs\u2014particularly in semiconductors and advanced electronics, key sectors for attracting investment and enhancing national competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n

The training program provided an overview of the electronics industry in Thailand and Southeast Asia, underscoring the importance of international standards and essential skills for students entering the workforce. Participants also gained direct exposure to industry practices through hands-on activities such as hand soldering, electronics design, and software integration, helping to build practical experience and job readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Student-to-Industry Pathway Program (Pilot Workshop) aims to equip students with knowledge of advanced electronics industries\u2014including PCB, PCBA\/EMS, and semiconductors\u2014while fostering an understanding of career pathways aligned with international standards such as IPC Training & Certification. The program promotes experiential learning and internships, and lays the foundation for sustained collaboration among international organizations, industry, and academic institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
