On 18 March 2026, the NXPO team, led by Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat, President of NXPO, and Dr. Oraphan Wiarachai, Assistant to the President, held a meeting with Dr. Kulaya Tantitemit, Director-General of the Revenue Department, to discuss tax measures aimed at strengthening Thailand\u2019s workforce development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Dr. Surachai highlighted the role of the Thailand Plus Package, which concluded in 2025, in supporting the development of high-skilled human resources to meet the needs of Thailand\u2019s targeted industries. He noted that the tax incentives provided under the package proved to be an effective policy tool for advancing workforce development in line with labor market demand\u2014both by upgrading workforce skills and by encouraging greater private-sector participation in human capital development.<\/p>\n\n\n

NXPO also proposed building on this initiative by linking tax incentives more closely with lifelong skills development, while promoting experiential learning through stronger collaboration between enterprises and educational institutions. Discussions further explored the design of new tax measures to enhance the country\u2019s long-term competitiveness, including tax exemptions for expenses incurred by enterprises participating in experiential learning programs, as well as personal incentive schemes to motivate Thai workers to continuously upskill.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dr. Kulaya emphasized that the Revenue Department recognizes the importance of tax measures as a mechanism for driving workforce and economic development policies. The department expressed its readiness to support the continued extension of the Thailand Plus Package and its interest in further examining the new measures proposed by NXPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
