On 4 June 2025, the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF), hosted by NXPO, delivered lectures as part of the Low-Carbon and Climate Action Training Program, conducted under the Empowering Thailand\u2019s Department of Climate Change and Environment Project. The initiative is implemented by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), in collaboration with the International Climate Initiative (IKI), Empower, and the Energy Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University. <\/p>\n\n\n

It aims to enhance the capacity of Thai government agencies in advancing climate policies and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning session, Dr. Kommate Jitvanichphaibool, Deputy Director of APEC CTF, presented on \u201cStrategies for Transitioning to a Low-Carbon Economy,\u201d highlighting the application of strategic foresight tools to support low-carbon economic transitions, complemented by national and international case studies.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the afternoon session, Dr. Srichattra Chaivongvilan, Strategist at APEC CTF, delivered a lecture on \u201cTechnology Transfer Mechanism for Transitioning to a Low-Carbon Economy.\u201d Her presentation emphasized the importance of technology transfer mechanism and featured NXPO\u2019s ongoing work in the second edition of the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
