The Thailand Higher Education and Innovation Policy Accelerator, operated by NXPO, in collaboration with the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Sciences & Entrepreneurship (MuSE) at Thaksin University, has launched the \u201cCoaching Skills Development Training Program to Support Social Enterprises.\u201d This program aims to develop skilled coaches capable of effectively transferring knowledge and nurturing social enterprises, enabling them to operate sustainably while creating a positive impact on communities and society. Running from March to May 2025, the program emphasizes practical skill development through workshops, case studies, and networking opportunities between coaches and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n

From 5 to 7 March 2025, the Thailand Higher Education and Innovation Policy Accelerator held discussions with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rungrawee Jitpakdee, Acting Dean of MuSE, along with faculty members from Thaksin University. The meetings, held at Thaksin University Phatthalung Campus, focused on implementing the coaching skills development training program and establishing “Thong Lang Shop,” a dedicated space for showcasing and selling products derived from research, community enterprises, and joint projects with local communities. This initiative serves as a key mechanism for managing new innovation-based businesses under TSU Enterprise Company Limited, a university holding company that supports faculty members, students, staff, and alumni in developing and commercializing their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, both parties prepared for the upcoming training activities by gathering insights to design a program tailored to trainees\u2019 needs and fostering an ecosystem conducive to social enterprise development. This initiative represents a significant step in strengthening social enterprises, driving both individual growth and societal sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n

Following the discussions, the team visited a local enterprise specializing in krajood handicrafts to gain firsthand insights into business needs and perspectives. The information gathered from these engagements will be instrumental in shaping the training workshop scheduled for 18\u201320 March 2025. This ongoing effort will further refine coaching skills, ensuring the sustainable growth of social enterprises and social innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n
