The printed circuit board (PCB) industry is emerging as a key driver of technology-driven economy. To capitalize on its human resource potential and infrastructure, Thailand has partnered with Taiwan, the global leader in PCB manufacturing, to advance workforce development and establish itself as a regional hub for PCB production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2024, MHESI-NXPO, in collaboration with the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) and Thailand\u2019s Board of Investment (BOI), launched an Online Job Matching Program. This initiative enables Thai students to apply for and participate in job interviews with leading Taiwanese PCB companies operating in Thailand. The program attracted over 300 students nationwide, offering job opportunities for Thai talent and highlighting the country\u2019s readiness to become a hub for high-tech industries in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2024, a delegation from NXPO and several leading Thai universities\u2014King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi, Prince of Songkla University, Suranaree University of Technology, Khon Kaen University, and Chiang Mai University\u2014visited PCB manufacturing facilities in Taiwan. The visit focused on exploring advanced manufacturing technologies and workforce development strategies. The delegation also participated in the TPCA Show 2024, where Thai universities showcased their research capabilities and workforce development programs tailored to meet global market needs. During the visit, an MOU was signed with TPCA to strengthen collaboration in workforce development, technology transfer, and industry-academia networking, further reinforcing Thailand\u2019s aspiration to become a regional PCB manufacturing hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 2024, TPCA conducted a training program on PCB workforce development at King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi, Khon Kaen University, and Suranaree University of Technology. The program featured insights into technologies, trends and career opportunities delivered by Taiwanese experts and PCB manufacturing representatives. More than 300 students participated, gaining in-depth knowledge and presenting their potential to prominent companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first quarter of 2025, TPCA, in collaboration with NXPO and leading Thai universities, plans to launch a hybrid training program for students across Thailand. The program will combine online learning with practical training at PCB manufacturing facilities. Graduates will receive certificates and opportunities for job placements at top Taiwanese PCB factories in Thailand. Special incentives, such as bonuses, will be offered to students who secure employment and complete 3\u20136 months of work.<\/p>\n\n\n

Since the inception of this partnership, TPCA has worked closely with NXPO and Thai academic institutions to elevate workforce skills. This collaboration has not only strengthened the ties between academia and industry but has also positioned Thailand as a leading global PCB manufacturing hub, contributing to the nation\u2019s sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
