Dr. Surachai Sathitkunarat,<\/strong>\u00a0Executive Director of the APEC Center for Technology Foresight (APEC CTF) and Senior Strategist acting as Vice President of the Office of the National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), was invited to participate in the\u00a0Global Forum on APEC 2025 Korea on September 30th, 2024.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Dr. Surachai served as a panelist in Session 2: Innovation and Digitalisation, where he presented on the topic of\u00a0\u201cThe Age of AI and the Future of Foresight\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0focusing on AI disruption and the balance of human roles in the AI era. His participation was conducted via an online platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His presentation,<\/strong>\u00a0addressing the rapid advancements in AI and their impact on society, underscored the importance of foresight. Foresight is the systematic thinking process that evolves from human-driven tools to integration with AI. With the overwhelming amount of data available, there is a need for human judgment and balance to make it more useful for shaping the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
